Environment

We're working hard to do our bit for the environment. We have more than halved the volume of waste we send to land-fill each week through our environmental initiatives. As an active member of Enviro-Mark we are committed to constantly improving our practices and reducing our impact on the environment. We are a responsible company and will not sell eco friendly products on their credentials alone. If we state a product is better for the environment, we include the fact Adgraphix is acting environmentally responsible while producing the goods.

As technology develops we are able to make purchases of greener equipment. Our recent printer installs have been water based machines which have a lesser impact on the environment and the workplace.

Recycling
We have a number of recycling systems in place. These systems are instrumental in
reducing our waste going to landfill.

PAPER AND CARD
We have a company wide system where all paper and card is recycled weekly. All
offices and work areas have recycling bins dedicated to paper and cardboard recycling.
Larger commercial quantities of media offcuts and packaging cores are taken
weekly for recycling.

PLASTICS
Plastics are cleaned and recycled through our Council yellow bin. We are currently
looking for a partner to recycle our empty ink bottles.

INK AND SOLVENTS
We supply a local company who take all of our waste solvent for refinement. Through
a process of our printing technology, waste ink is created by a purging process to
keep all print heads clear of blockages. This ink is collected and transferred to larger
tanks in our dangerous goods store.

INK CARTRIDGES
Working with our supplier we recycle all of our waste ink cartridges. These cartridges
would typically go straight to landfill.

PVC BANNER
PVC banner has been our largest contributor to landfill. We have teamed up with our
supplier who we now return all our waste off-cuts to for recycling. Any banners can be
returned to us for recycling.

SYNTHETIC PAPER
Another big contributor to landfill has been synthetic paper. We have teamed up with
our supplier who we now return all our waste off-cuts to for recycling. Any posters on
this material can be returned for recycling.

FLUTE BOARD / CORFLUTE
We recycle all of our corflute offcuts. This is the same material used for real estate
signs. We will happily receive your job back when youve finished with it and recycle it.

Responsible choices
We are minimising our electricity consumption through better management of our equipment. Where possible we purchase recycled
paper and our literature is printed on either recycled paper or paper from sustainable forests. We encourage company wide involvement
in our recycling systems and have excellent participation. We are retiring our solvent based printers for modern environmentally friendly
versions where possible. These include the new water based latex inkjet printers.
