The East Frame
As New Zealand's leading printer of fence wrap, what an ideal project it was to produce these artworks for displaying in the community. The designs were produced by the very creative students from two schools in The East Frame, a project being run by Ōtākaro as part of the recovery plan. Read more to see what it is all about.
Christopher's Lion
On the 22nd March there will be an artwork auction fundraising for a young kidney disease sufferer Maddie Collins. We reproduced Christopher's Lion artwork from an original piece.
It's Child's Play
We love doing murals, so when we were approached to reproduce artworks designed by Christchurch school kids, naturally we wanted to be part of the production. It would be fair to say murals are one of our specialties and outdoor murals are a bit rarer than their more common indoor counterparts. Keeping in mind we were dealing with exposure to mother nature we came up with the right product for the job and our attention to detail saw the project turn out a stunner.
Populate

The Christchurch Art Gallery might be closed, but that doesn't mean nothing is happening. One exhibition is Populate! It's about celebrating the Gallerys 10th birthday and it's about artwork in public spaces. Our involvement has been producing murals on buildings including these two examples. In their words...
The Inner Binding

Here are a few shots of this job we recently completed on the Central Library Peterborough window. It's by renowned New Zealand artist Richard Killeen, and is part of the Christchurch Art Gallery Outer Spaces programme. We printed the image on translucent vinyl so it will be enhanced by the light from within the library.
der Rainbow Magic

New Zealand artist Judy Millar has been exhibiting more of her oversized works. Her latest exhibition is titled The Rainbow Loop. We worked with Judy and Bruce Edgar, where we did the printing portion of her work. This exhibition is still currently running at Museum gegenstandsfreier Kunst in Otterndorf, Germany, finishing on the 26th of June 2012. Unlike previous work where we printed digital versions of Judy's hand painted work, this time round it's a true interaction of paint and ink. We get a real buzz doing this type of work which gives us a change of scenery from advertising and commercial imaging. Here are some official words about this exhibition...
Billboard Art

Some of you may have noticed artwork appearing around the streets of Christchurch. iSite Media and Adgraphix have teamed up together and gifted media and production, providing these billboard sized artworks to the community. They all feature local artist such as the three pictured from Tony Cribb, Tony De Lautour and Philip Trusttum. Keep your eyes peeled.
Myriorama
We like a good challenge, and this one is no exception. The very clever Bruce Edgar came to us with a project he was working on for local Christchurch artist Julia Morison. The piece was to be exhibited at the Sydney Biennale 2010. The catch was it involved a massive amount of panels, intricate detail and it had to be accurate. After a series of tests we were ready to print. It was displayed in the Sydney Opera House... see details below.
Part of Life
Adgraphix is proud to be a Print Champion to the Part of Life print campaign. The Part of Life campaign aims to remind consumers of print’s irreplaceable role in their lives and inform them of what print can offer. There are a lot of common misconceptions about the printing industry so we want to present people with the facts about print so they can be fully informed when making sustainable choices. For business people, particularly those who work in marketing, we want to reinforce the many benefits that print offers them as part of the marketing mix.
Stretch'n The Canvas
If your'e looking for a stretched canvas, you might be pleased to know you have a couple of options. It's well known that artists canvas can be printed and then stretched onto a frame. What is less commonly known is the fact you can shoot down to your local stationery store, purchase a pre-stretched canvas, bring it to Adgraphix and we can print your image directly to it. There are benefits to each process and it's not a case of one type fits all. See the images below for expanations of the two techniques
