Understand - Adapt - Thrive

Posted by Jo on 10 February 2017

Understand - Adapt - ThriveWe love doing event signage. Quite often we get requests that require us to think outside the square, or use our years of experience to make an idea work. Sometimes a simple sign may in fact be more than it appears, considerations have to be made for the impact it will have on the structure once it's been removed. Our wealth of product experience makes things so easy. Here's an event we recently worked on at Horncastle Arena.

Laugh Till Your Cheeks Hurt

Posted by Jo on 23 February 2016

IMG Busker16 4Once again we were heavily involved with the SCIRT World Buskers Festival held here in Christchurch. We've been providing printing and signage for many years and this year we are proud to have had our own stage - the Adgraphix Stage. We wanted to show you all the exciting printing and signage we did for this 2016 event - except we forgot to get out and take some photos. Below are some pics we managed to scrape together. I think the festival was so damn good all of our focus was on the entertainment and not our task at hand!

Follow The Crusade!

Posted by Jo on 26 May 2015

IMG Footy1Check out this case study for Canterbury Rugby Football Union. The work was completed at AMI Stadium - the home of the Crusaders. We were asked to come up with fantastic solutions for legends banners (some good names to remember!) and work on the new “take a kid to footie” castle. Have a look at the details below.

IMG Buskers15 1Another festival has been and gone. Again we are proud to have been a partner to the World Buskers Festival here in Christchurch. It's an event we've been associated with for quite a few years and each time were tasked with producing really cool graphics. Below are some snaps of some of the work that we produced for this years fantastic event.

Big Things

Posted by Scott on 4 August 2013

This Lincoln University display was about all things 'BIG'. From the super-sized chair to lifesize cut-outs holding big props, they all seem to dwarf the iPad plinths. Getting these structures to free stand required some creative thinking. We like a challenge and happily accepted the request.

Outstanding, that is!

Posted by Scott on 3 August 2013

We are stoked to announce our work being awarded 'Outstanding Exhibitor Display' at the recent The Star Home Show. This was one of our first projects since absorbing Display Solutions' product range into our already diverse lot. The project was a full design manufacture and install job with the initial concepts pictured here in full 3D render. Trade show displays have to meet targets set by the customer (foot traffic is a good start, or capturing contact details), so the design is structured to cater to those needs. See image at bottom for finished display.

The Roll-up Portables

Posted by Scott on 12 December 2012

Portable Roll-up systems are for more than just travel applications. These display signage systems are very versatile. Often they are used as an easy solution to get a decent sized banner to fit in a space with the least amount of hassle. The good news is we have a range of choices that are sure to suit every budget. We have put together these stands which we think are well built and aesthetically pleasing. Roll-up stands have the banner loaded under tension so it restracts into the base to protect it and for ease of transportation.

Against The Clock

Posted by Scott on 16 June 2011

We hit the ground running with this one. The pressure was on to get this project completed on time. We had 3 days to turn it around. The job involved a lot of self adhesive vinyl, laminating, mounting, posters and some pretty big, double sided 3m x 3m banners and a couple of 15m x 2m. The team pulled together and we came through with the goods. A small hiccup saw a panel missed, but that was fixed by an early Saturday morning phone call and an emergency print completed and installed before opening time.

A Day In The Sun

Posted by Scott on 29 October 2010

What a great day! We've endured a lot of aftershocks for nearly two months and this was a welcome break. It was a really good day as the sun shone, the bands played and the ground didn't move. The Band Together concert turned out around 140,000 people. New Zealand has some damn good musicians. Who would have thought The Exponents would be finishing a concert with Christchurch (in cashel street I wait) 25 years after it was recorded. For those who don't know what it was about... Band Together was a free concert for the people of Canterbury which featured some of New Zealand's top musicians. The purpose was to give Cantabrians a day to try to forget about their stress caused by the earthquake and chill out for a day.

2010 World Buskers Festival

Posted by Scott on 29 January 2010

With the World Buskers Festival well underway, it's time to show some of the printing we produced for the event. There is plenty of yellow (this years theme colour) around the city at the moment. Adgraphix has produced billboards, teardrop flags and all sorts of directional signage and banners for the event. It's a really cool time to be in Christchurch. If you have'nt seen any of the acts yet, make sure you head in before the 31st when the festival concludes and catch some of the fun. If you made it to the Christchurch International Airport Busker Comedy Club on the 25th and you thought you saw Jeff on stage, you were right. He wore his pick me face and made it on stage twice, the second to show his skills at hula hooping!
