Supporting Band Together, a gift to Canterbury

What a great day. After enduring nearly two months of aftershocks following the 2010 earthquake, this was a welcome break. The sun shone, the bands played, and the ground didn't move. Band Together drew a crowd of around 140,000 people. New Zealand has some genuinely great musicians, and who would have thought The Exponents would close out a concert with Christchurch (In Cashel Street I Wait), 25 years after it was first recorded.

For anyone who doesn't know the story, Band Together was a free concert for the people of Canterbury, featuring some of New Zealand's top musicians. The idea was to give Cantabrians a day to put the stress of the earthquake aside and just enjoy themselves.

Adgraphix provided printing for the concert. The large speaker mesh drops and the backdrops behind the stage were produced for the team at Theme Pro. We also donated the privacy mesh fence wrap for the compound behind the stage, with assistance from Aarque.
