FILE PREPARATION

What File Formats Do You Accept?

We accept most industry-standard formats including PDF, AI (Adobe Illustrator), EPS, PSD, and TIFF. PDF is generally preferred as it packages fonts and images reliably. Download our File Preparation Guide from the File Prep page for full specifications.

What Resolution Should My Artwork Be?

It depends on viewing distance. As a general rule: 100–200 dpi for close viewing (under 1m), 50–100 dpi for medium distance (1–3m), and 30 dpi can be sufficient for outdoor billboards viewed from a distance. Work at full size when possible, remember to allow for the correct resolution when working to scale.

Do I Need To Include Bleed In My File?

Yes. We generally require a bleed of at least 5mm on all sides (more for larger formats). Any critical content like text and logos should be kept well within the safe zone, away from the trim edge.

Should My File Be Set Up In CMYK Or RGB?

We recommend CMYK where possible, as this most closely matches our print output. If your file is in RGB we canconvert it, but colours may shift slightly - particularly vivid reds, blues, and greens. If colour accuracy is critical, please talk to us before submitting.

I Don't Have A Designer - Can Adgraphix Help With Artwork?

We can assist with artwork set-up and basic file preparation. For full design services, we can recommend trusted local designers. Get in touch and we'll point you in the right direction.
