This is a great example of a bit of imagination and the benefits of using the floor as well as the walls. Too often the floor is overlooked and there is zero use of this real estate in a graphical sense. The river stones here really capture the district and enhances this space greatly.
Another festival has been and gone. Again we are proud to have been a partner to the World Buskers Festival here in Christchurch. It's an event we've been associated with for quite a few years and each time were tasked with producing really cool graphics. Below are some snaps of some of the work that we produced for this years fantastic event.
Here is a case study showcasing a project we worked on with Medical House for their trade display at the annual NZDA conference. We were rapt with the final product and the positive feedback we received from Lynda at Medical House.
There have been a few exciting changes happening over the last couple of months. In our drive to provide better quality and more sustainable printing, we’ve added two brand new shiney printers, HP Latex 360’s to be precise. They're pretty cool… HP latex technology provides all the durability qualities of solvent inks (the mainstay ink for tough durable prints), but without all the environmental nasties the solvent inks provide as a trade off for toughness. Better still, the latex system is odourless and far more reliable than the solvent systems we have owned in the past. The printers are more consistent with quality output and less prone to nozzle blockage issues we suffered in the past with our solvent printers.
We've just turned 15 - Happy Birthday Adgraphix!!! During our humble beginnings back in March 1999 sporting just two of us, we had no idea we'd be here in March 2014 with twenty-one... and growing! It all started with one digital printer and a lot of passion. We're now one of the best facilities for large fomat digital print in New Zealand and we have a top notch full service signshop to support it. We've got a great team and great customers - long may that continue.
We continue to follow our path of innovation with the installation our our newest printer. This HP Latex 3000 is the third generation of HP's industrial line of latex printers and has just been released worldwide. It has exceptional speeds and the odourless latex prints are ready to go straight off the printer making them perfect for sensitive environments like office and retail spaces. It's exciting to have a machine of this calibre right here in Christchurch.
This Lincoln University display was about all things 'BIG'. From the super-sized chair to lifesize cut-outs holding big props, they all seem to dwarf the iPad plinths. Getting these structures to free stand required some creative thinking. We like a challenge and happily accepted the request.
We are stoked to announce our work being awarded 'Outstanding Exhibitor Display' at the recent The Star Home Show. This was one of our first projects since absorbing Display Solutions' product range into our already diverse lot. The project was a full design manufacture and install job with the initial concepts pictured here in full 3D render. Trade show displays have to meet targets set by the customer (foot traffic is a good start, or capturing contact details), so the design is structured to cater to those needs. See image at bottom for finished display.
The Christchurch Art Gallery might be closed, but that doesn't mean nothing is happening. One exhibition is Populate! It's about celebrating the Gallery's 10th birthday and it's about artwork in public spaces. Our involvement has been producing murals on buildings including these two examples. In their words...
I am stoked to announce we won two awards at this years New Zealand Sign and Display Awards held in Blenheim. Anually all sign companies across New Zealand are encouraged to enter their best work to be judged amongst their peers. Entries are judged on their own merit and are given an appropriate award where deserved. There are no guarantees each category will have a gold winner. Congratulations to our customers Mr Mod and Harvey Cameron (client - Gough Group) for who we produced winning work. See the work below.
